SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Doris Clemmie McDearmont, 95, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Rose-Neath Marshall St. Chapel, Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery East, St. Vincent Ave. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Yawn. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 1, 2014 at the funeral home. Doris was born on April 23, 1919 to Charley and Mary Virginia Hollifield in Shreveport, LA and passed away on August29, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Joseph McDearmont; daughter, Jeanette McDearmont Mangum; son, James Joseph McDearmont, Jr.; and brothers, C.J. and Joe Hollifield. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Doris Fay Nester of Bossier City; Mary Virginia Page and her husband, Harry of Troy, AL; son, John Raymond McDearmont and his wife, Sharman of Shreveport; grandchildren, Geri Kulpa, Derryl Nester, Vicki Free, David Nester, Cheryl Yawn, Tad McDearmont, Patricia McDearmont, Justin McDearmont and Kyle McDearmont; also 10 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Honoring Doris as pallbearers will be her Grandsons and Great-Grandsons.
