PATAGNIA, AZ: Graveside services were held for Mrs. Doris McDonald Shelton, 94, at Lisbon Methodist Cemetery in Lisbon, LA on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Terry Willis, officiating.
Mrs. Shelton was born May 30, 1922 in Antioch Community, LA to Jewell Clayton McDonald and Fannie Maude Nicholas. She entered into rest on Saturday, August, 27, 2016 in Sonoita, AZ.
Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Kirk Shelton; two sons, Joe D. Shelton and Larry Shelton; four brothers, Felton O. McDonald, Aubin McDonald, Jewell C. McDonald and Robert W. McDonald; and two sisters, Aline Barnett and Ruby Haynes.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce S. Rosenbach of Sonoita, AZ and Patricia A. Cerny of Tampa, FL; a sister, Nellie Hughes of Waterproof, LA; five grandchildren, Kert, Terri, Gary, Dawn and Derek; eight great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
