Dorothy Nell LaFitte

Funeral services for Dorothy Nell Williams LaFitte, 88, will be held Friday, October 6, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Keithville on Williams Road. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with interment following at the First Baptist Church Cemetery. Dorothy was born March 10, 1929 in Shreveport, LA to Glen Loftus Williams, Sr. and Margaret Jane Ivy Williams. She went to see The Lord on October 3, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Leonard Loper LaFitte, Jr.; son, Ronald of Keithville and his children Brian, Shannon, Gregory and Lindsey. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Pam LaFitte and granddaughter Lauren LaFitte Marchall of Baton Rouge. There are six great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by daughter Linda Elisabeth LaFitte and son Larry Leonard LaFitte. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Charles Williams, Henry Richardson, Ragan Fair, Mike Penneywell, Jimmy Penneywell and Paul Sicilia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Keithville or donor's choice.
