Dorothy Mae Robinson

Dorothy Mae Robinson, of Milan Illinois, a loving mother and grandmother, died in Rock Island on Friday, July 18, 2014, at the age of 90. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 24, 2014 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Downsville, LA. Rose-Neath's Southside Funeral Home in Shreveport is assisting the family with arrangements. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the funeral home. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 16, 1924. She married Hubert Edward Robinson on December 21, 1943, and they made their home in Shreveport, Louisiana, for 62 years. The last 8 years she lived with her 2 daughters in the Quad Cities. Many lives have been touched by her loving, generous spirit. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her four children: Carol and Rev. Alvie Jarratt of Rock Island, IL; Connie and Ken Wize of Milan, IL; Rev. Stephen and Cheryl Robinson of Shreveport, LA; Tim and June Robinson of Shreveport, LA; 11 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and her two brothers Edwin and Paul Tiemann.
