Services for Mrs. Dorothy Louise Sudbury, 84 will be 1 PM, Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Toledo Bend Church of Christ, Hwy 191, Many, LA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor James Tidwell. Visitation will be 4-6 PM, Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 9891 Texas Hwy, Many, LA. Mrs. Sudbury was born on February 15, 1930 in Estelline, Texas to Jess and Ethel Canafax. She entered into eternal rest on November 29, 2014 at Walnut Creek Assisted Living in Mansfield, Texas. She was an Alumni of Northwestern State University and upon graduation taught nursing there. She served in the nursing field for over 40 years touching many lives. She was voted by her peers as number one nurse in the state of Louisiana. Mrs. Sudbury is survived by her husband of 60 years, Herbert Joe Sudbury, two sons, James Sudbury and wife Lisa, Terrell, Texas and Paul Sudbury and wife Paula, Arlington, Texas, four grandchildren, Bethany Reynolds and husband Mark, Trevor Sudbury, Joshua Sudbury and Angela Fleming, two great grandchildren, Jacob Reynolds and Blayne Fleming, sister, Ella Fay Bordelon, Baton Rouge, LA.
