Dorothy Ann Thomas Trent went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at home with her loving family by her side.  Services will be Sunday, February 4, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Rose-Neath's Minden Chapel. Visitation will start one hour before the service. Officiating will be Brother Ken Collins. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Martin, LA.  

Dot was born August 15,1935 to Franklin Allen Thomas and Mary Viola Lattier Thomas in Red River Parish. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Coy Trent, brother-in-laws Louis Davis and Carl Walker, and nephew Mike Walker. She is survived by her son David Trent and wife Vicki, sisters Sue Walker and Kitty Davis, brother Bill “BG” Thomas and wife Marlene, nieces Terry Yelvington and husband Tim and Karla Thomas, nephews James Walker and Mark Davis and wife Joy. Dot is also survived by many beloved great nieces and nephews Heather Ford (Andrew), Lauren Davis (Justin), Sarah Revin (Art), Alex Portillo (Rich), Kelly Walker (Phi), Alex Gray (Ben), Jeremy Evans (Erin), Stetson Davis (Siobhán) and Jake Walker (Megan) and great-great nieces and nephews Adrean, Jayden, Ryan, Parker, Ava, Henry, Beckham, Harlow, Conner, Chloe, Colson, Clayton, Tucker, Braxton, Jagger, Dixie and Nola, which she treated like her grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.  

Dot was retired from Southwestern Bell where she made many lifelong friendships. She was instrumental in Special Olympics and the Law Enforcement Torch Run for many years. Dot was a lifelong member of her beloved Baptist church. Besides Special Olympics and spending quality time with her family, Dot loved to travel with her husband Coy and was also a 40+ year breast cancer survivor and always supported the pink in every way she could.  

Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Davis, Ben Gray, Tim Yelvington, Tracy Stovall, Rick Janzen and Randy Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Claude Reeves and the local motorcycle community that she loved so dearly.
