Dorothy Wheless

Funeral services celebrating the life of Dorothy Wheless will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Chapel, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Bro. James Walker. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery, Logansport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Mansfield, Louisiana.

Dorothy was born June 24, 1937, to Clarence and Ella Hatcher Estes and entered into rest on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ray Wheless; second husband, Hugh Barnett; son, Edward Peek; brothers, J.W. Estes, and Calvin Estes; sisters, Mary Burr and Leona English; stepdaughter, Penney Wheless, and Charlotte Manshack; granddaughter, Peggy Peek; and great-grandsons, Dakota Peek and Jeremy Peek Jr. 

Left to cherish her memory include her sons, John Peek (Georgia), Jimmy Davis, James Davis, Mike Wheless (Lillian) and Daryl Wheless (Tammy); daughters, Teresa Tedder (Greg) and Jeanett Folden; 24 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; 26 great great-grandchildren; and special friend, Gloria Goldby.

Honoring Dorothy as pallbearers will be Seth Peek, Micheal Peek, Hunter Powell, Adrian Ramsey, Ricky Jenkins, and Clinton Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be James Walker, Jr. and Jeremy Peek.
