 Funeral services for Dorothy Ann Williams, 65, will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. A burial will follow at round Grove Cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Officiating the service will be Dell Orange.

Dorothy was born on October 21, 1958 to George Blackshire and Carrie Norman in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Dorothy was a loving, caring, and overbearing mother. She went above and beyond to ensure her children and grandchildren were taken care of. She was a very strong and passionate woman when it came to her family and family love.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, George Blackshire and Carrie Norman; husband, Donald Williams; grandmother, Mattie Bell Johnson; granddaughter, Sh’Miracle Blackshire and brothers, Daniel Blackshire, David Blackshire, Donald Ray Blackshire, Robert Blackshire, Fred Johnson, and Joe Louis Norman. She is survived by her three siblings, Bertha Jaggers, Gloria Blackshire, and Charles Ray Blackshire; children, Daniel Blackshire and wife, Lucretia Blackshire, Santana Blackshire, Kinna Blackshire, Derrick Coleman, and Jacquect Boyd; grandchildren, Natorious Blackshire, Jakarrie Shepherd, Joshua Nash, Tw’Shay Delaney, Sh’kayla Delaney, Jabreel Blackshire, Danielle Blackshire, Jazmine Blackshire and Jatavia Boyd; great-grandchildren, Halle Cooper, Sir’Trelya Cooper, Siaonna Delaney, and Khloe Delaney; a very special sister-in-law, Linda Faye Silvie and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Honoring Dorothy as pallbearers will be Daniel Blackshire, Marlon Blackshire Sr., George Blackshire, Daveon Blackshire, Gaylen Blackshire, and Garfield Blackshire. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Nash, Natorious Blackshire, Jabreel Blackshire, Charles Blackshire Sr., Daniel Blackshire, and Derrick Coleman.
