Services for Dorothy Bradford Windham will be held Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel at 1:00 PM with Reverend Tommy Allen officiating. Interment will follow the services at Forest Park West. Visitation will be Wednesday June 13, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
Born in Jena, Louisiana on February 3, 1930, Dorothy was the daughter of Ruben and Rebecca Bradford. Dorothy lived in Jena until she moved to Shreveport to marry her beloved husband of 40 years, A. Cecil Windham. Dorothy and Cecil were the loving parents of two sons and two daughters.
Dorothy loved the Bible, lived it to the best of her ability, and taught it in Sunday School for many years.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Cecil W. Windham (Jeannie), Jimmy Windham (Kirita), Cathy Windham Lewis (Neal), and Sheree Windham; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister, Velma Boyd (Edward); sister-in-law, Bennye Windham, wife of Robert L. Windham; and brother-in-law, Pete Neal, husband of Mary Neal.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers, Clarence Bradford (Juanita), Bud Bradford (Janita), Les Bradford (Nina), Van Bradford (Nell), and sisters, Myrtle Kendrick (Johnny), Flora Speed, Evie Ann Bradford, Joyce Norris (Dossier), and Mary Neal.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Bob Windham, Mark Murph, and Cory Lubking; nephew, Eddie Speed; and friends, Jerry Lewis and John Parker. Honorary pallbearers are Dennis Rice, Phillip Windham, Gerald Bradford, Lester Kendrick, and Wayne Bradford.
