Logansport, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Douglas Eugene Cox, 73, will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Word of Faith in Joaquin, TX with Reverend Chris Welch, Buddy Leach, and Dean Register officiating. Burial will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery, in Logansport, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, LA on Friday, June 3 2016 from 6:00 till 8:00 PM. Eugene was born on March 13, 1943 in Amarillo, TX to Leo and Nellie McFadden Cox, and died on June 1, 2016 in Logansport, LA. Preceding Eugene in death were his parents Leo and Nellie Cox; brother, Joe Cox; granddaughter, Skylar Cox; grandsons, Jonah Cox, and Jacob Cox. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Elizabeth Permenter Cox; Brothers, Bennie Cox, Mel Cox; sister, Lennie Nichols; children, Billy Cox, Shirley Cox, Deborah Peeler, Sherry Wasinger, Shannon Brown, Billye Brock, Betsy Randolph; 18 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Those honoring the life of Eugene as pallbearers will be, Brett Randolph, R.L. Cox, Cade Cox, Colton Wasinger, Blake Cox, Chase Cox, Bengie Cox, and Roman Gonzalez. Those honoring as honorary pallbearers will be Randall Brown, Conner Cox, Scott Cammack, and Josh Cox.
