A graveside service honoring the life of Burton Lionel Siegel will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Agudath Achim Cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana. Rabbi Sydni Rubinstein will officiate the service.
Burton Lionel Siegel was born September 21, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York to Herman and Elizabeth Siegel and passed away peacefully, Monday, June 28, 2021 in Allen, Texas.
Burt proudly served our country as a captain in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked as a dentist in Shreveport, Louisiana from 1968 until 2006 and then worked at Community Dental in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas area serving the underprivileged community until his retirement in 2014. Burton was a member of the El Karubah Shrine and many other organizations. He deeply enjoyed serving his community. He often donated his dental services to the Providence House and many other charities.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia "Pat" Siegel.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Dan Siegel and David Siegel; daughter-in-law, Neta Siegel and several foster children, Will Golson, Vany, Dawn and Abril Hererra, Chris Walmsley, and Cathy, Dixie, Chris, Stacy and Marion Chadwick.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests any memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3100 Samford Ave, Shreveport, LA 71103 or to Agudath Achim Synagogue, 9401 Village Green Dr, Shreveport, LA 71115.
