Dylan Jacob Roy

Funeral services for Dylan Jacob Roy, 34, will be held Saturday, January 13^th, 2024 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana at 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will be following the service at Memorial Gardens, Mooringsport, Louisiana. A visitation will take place Saturday, January 13^th, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.

Dylan was born May 24, 1989 in Bossier City, Louisiana to Mark Wayne Roy and Terrisa Stewart Farrar and passed away suddenly Monday, January 1, 2024.

Dylan was raised in the Shreveport and Mooringsport, Louisiana area and attended C.E. Byrd High School. He fell in love with skateboarding at a young age and it would act as a 20-year driving force in his personal and professional development, as well as a place where he would find lifelong friends, endless joy, and meaning for his life. He followed his passion to Austin, Texas where he loved to film his friends skate, swim down at the greenbelt, and attend local comedy shows. In every realm of his life, he was committed to excellence, always setting the standard by which others could look to for guidance.

Dylan was a natural in the hospitality field. He brought a youthful and lighthearted energy to his work space. As a leader, Dylan led by example and gained respect from his peers through his hard work, emotional intelligence, caring nature and sense of humor. He took pride in all of his endeavors, both personal and professional. He was loyal to his tribe and received that loyalty back tenfold. He was a big man with an even bigger heart, an amazing sense of humor, a contagious smile, and cherished hair. Dylan was an irreplaceable human being.

Dylan is preceded in death by his grandfather, Lary Cross Stewart; grandmother, Carmen Roy and step-father, David Owen Farrar. He is survived by his mother, Terrisa Stewart Farrar; father, Mark Wayne Roy; brother, Adam Christopher Stewart and wife, Lanette Carpenter Stewart; sisters, Katherine Olivia Farrar, Evelyn Farrar Bordovsky and husband, Stephen Tyler Bordovsky and Lisa Valdez; nephew, Remy Stewart and girlfriend, Talize Olivella. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Alfred and Niko.

Serving Dylan as pallbearers will be Adam Stewart, Zach Imodi, Chris Worrell, Josh Rambin, Luke Regard, and Ed Rodriguez and honorary pallbearers Roddy Fredrick, Calvin Millar, Sean Villars, Elias Bingham, and Rob Mendoza.
