BOSSIER CITY, LA - Earline Piccola Wilhite Yancy, affectionately known to many as "Miss E" and "Eany" passed away at 98 on January 13, 2018. Earline was born in Myra, LA to Louis and Sudie Wilhite, was married to James Nolan Yancy who preceded her in death, as did her son, Phillip Rodney Yancy. Mrs. Yancy is survived by her daughter Nola H. Yancy and son-in-law, Wylie Michael Toloso of Denver, CO; best friend, Myra Davis of Haughton LA; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Yancy was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church in Bossier City, a retiree of the Office of Civilian Payroll at Barksdale AFB, a member of the American Business Women's Association, and an avid gardner who grew spectacular iris and day lilies. "Miss E" will have a private service at Hill Crest Cemetery. Those wishing to remember her are encouraged to make a donation to a charity of their choice, or plant a flower in her memory. Ever strong in her faith and resolve, gentle in her soul, Mom is at peace.
