Earnest Doyle Nelson

Earnest Doyle "Cyclone" Nelson was born December 29, 1940 in Stonewall, Arkansas to Esco and Cecil Nelson and passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020 at his home in Benton, Louisiana. Doyle enjoyed playing music, singing, fishing, and spending time with family. He will always be remembered for his rare talent to entertain by singing, picking guitar and slamming the piano night after night with a joke and a smile. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Esco Cornelius Nelson, brothers, Houston Nelson, Gerald Nelson, and Troy Nelson; favorite cousin, Phinus "Coby" Roush, and favorite pet, Murphy Nelson Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Marilyn Nelson; children, Judy Emerson and husband, Tracy, B.C. Milligan and husband, Martin, Doyle Nelson II and wife, Courtney; brother, J.R. Nelson and wife, Viola; eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. A memorial service honoring Doyle's life will be held at a later date.
