Edgar Edd (Eddy) Crawley, 63, died very suddenly at his home in the woods in Bryceland, Louisiana, on August 15, 2021. His beloved and faithful dog, Bull, was by his side and is mourning his absence with every passing hour.
Born in Arcadia on April 11, 1958, Eddy was the youngest child of N. Y. (Sr.) and Annie Loe Crawley. He was brought up in a very happy and loving household with his two sisters and brother. As his close friends can attest, even at the age of 63, he was still their Baby.
Eddy was raised riding horses and motor cycles; following his Dad and brother in the backyard, pasture, and the woods. He always had lots of pets including deer, goats, wild rabbits, and squirrels in addition to his dogs and horses. There was always fun and lots of friends and family around the Crawley home.
After high school Eddy held several jobs from the time that he was 18 years old. For years he worked in the machine shop for his sister Peggy and her husband Gary at their auto parts store. He loved working with his hands to build or rebuild motors, cars, motorcycles, or anything with a motor. He especially loved the freedom he enjoyed when riding horses, riding his Harley, or doing anything outdoors. His greatest accomplishments were being a very loving son, brother, and a truly dedicated friend to many.
Left to remember his love and share memories are his two sisters: Peggy Crawley Gantt (Gary) of Arcadia, Nancy Crawley St. Germain (Lenny) of Sibley, and bother N. Y. (Bo) Crawley, Jr. (Lexie) of Dubai UAE. Nieces and nephews: Chris Gantt (Michelle), Jason Gantt, Lisa Gantt Pepper (Kenny), Scott Gantt (Charlene), Clay Patterson (Alicia), Ryan Patterson (Sarah); Jason St. Germain (Courtney), Michael St. Germain, Nicholas Crawley (Teresa), Brittany Crawley Hunt (Cass), Jessica Crawley Habibi (Brian). Eddy was loved by his siblings, many cousins, and especially by his surviving Aunts. He has numerous great-nieces and nephews who hopefully will enjoy hearing Uncle Eddy stories - since there are many memories to share. Eddy will be missed by many close, life-long friends who were so important to him in life. Eddy lived a simple life and loved his family, friends, and animals. Although he was only 15 when his Daddy died suddenly of a massive heart attack, he felt the need to always take care of and protect his Mother and his sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents N. Y. Crawley Sr. and Annie Loe Crawley; paternal grandparents Ed Hill Crawley and Era Spurlock Crawley; maternal grandparents Edgar Alvin Loe and Annie Mae Caskey Loe.
At this time no visitation or formal services will be held due to Covid health concerns. Hopefully a memorial service to celebrate Eddy's life will be scheduled at a later date. The family asks for your continued prayers.
