EDDIE ARNOLD DEFRIEND   SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Eddie Arnold DeFriend will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Pastor Clay DeFriend will be officiating. Interment will follow at Johnson's Cemetery in Joaquin, Texas. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Eddie was born March 28, 1946 in Joaquin, Texas to Roger and Baby Ruth DeFriend and passed away surrounded by loved ones on April 2, 2017. He was a resident of Shreveport, La where he built his life and business turning wrenches as owner of Eddie's Auto Repair. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lisa Jennie DeFriend. Those left to cherish Eddie's memory are his three children, Kim Grimes and husband Josh, Susan Sivils and husband Charlie, and Jason DeFriend and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Alexander Michaels, Emily Clark, Savanna Michaels, Sydney Morell, Preston DeFriend; and great grandson Grayson Clark; sisters, Jody Martin and husband Jay and Rita Anderson and partner J.R. McGraw; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Honoring Eddie as pallbearers will be Alex Michaels, Chris Martin, B.J. Coker, Barry Lewis, Marty Moss, and Pat Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers are Josh Grimes, Jay Martin, David Toothman, Scott Murphy, and Hugh Hunton. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and American Diabetes Foundation.
