Edith Ann Hausman, age 84, of the Arizona Community near Homer, LA, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. She was born to the late Alvin Reece Robinson and Dorris Spigener Robinson on June 19, 1938. Edith was predeceased in death by her husband, C. Malcolm Hausman, and son, Edward Kirk Womack. She is survived by son, Keith Womack (Tami Womack). Edith was a loving grandmother to three grandchildren, Reece Womack (Nicole Womack and Jack Womack), Garrett Womack, and Meredith Womack. Her sister, Peggy Pike (Alf), and nephew, Jeff Pike (Kelly), were at her bedside when Edith passed. Her son and grandchildren are very appreciative of the Pike family care and respect for having been with Edith on her last day.

Edith worked for TRW, a space and defense contractor for NASA, during the time the Lunar Module was built, and man landed on the moon. She also was an avid traveler throughout the years visiting Russia, China, Africa and many other global destinations. Edith liked gardening, and her front porch azaleas were beautiful each year. Edith also worked diligently on the family history and in publishing “From These Roots”.

Private services will be held later as a Remembrance to “Ms. Edith” as many in the community called her.

The family suggests any memorials be made as donations to Forest Grove Cemetery Association, Attn: Treasurer, 490 Arizona Road, Homer, LA 71040.
