SHREVEPORT, LA - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father James McClellan. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Stoner Avenue. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, prior to the Mass. Edna Marie Fleming Brown was born February 24, 1920 in Shreveport, LA and passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Shreveport, she was a founding member of St. Catherine\'s Catholic Church. In addition to working and raising four children, Edna was active in the church and spent time volunteering. She belonged to the altar society, took care of the flowers outside St. Catherine\'s, and enjoyed traveling and fishing. She deeply loved her family. Edna was preceded in death by her four-month-old son, Barry, and her beloved husband of 72 years, Vance. Edna is survived by son Jerry; daughter Shirley Anderson and husband Roger; daughter Helen Hardin, all of Shreveport, LA; son Marcus and wife Kathleen of Atlanta, GA; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jesse Anderson, Alex Anderson, Robbie Anderson, Johnny Anderson, Blake Vest, and Jay Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
