SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Edna Marie"MiMi" Smith, 74, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Moore. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2014 at the funeral home. Edna was born on March 20, 1940 in Bluefield, VA to William and Mary Lewis. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 19, 2014. She was a resident of Shreveport, LA and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Smith, Jr.; father and mother, William E. and Mary F. Lewis; children, Cathey Reed, Nathaniel (Nathan) Smith, William (Billy) Giddens; and grandson, Gabel Giddens. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Shawn Giddens and James Shannon Smith; daughters, Dana Giddens, Mary Giddens, Shanna Smith; grandchildren, Brandon, Cole, Shane, Cathey, Amber, Tatum, Michael Giddens, Misty and Joe Reed, Christy Giddens-Guice, Breanna, James, Candice, Erica, and Corbin Smith; numerous great-grandchildren; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Honoring Edna as pallbearers will be Darren Campbell, Brandon Giddens, Joe Reed, Shawn Giddens, Michael Giddens, James Smith, Jr., and James Shannon Smith.
