Edna Inez Wiggins

Shreveport, La - A celebration of life for Edna Inez Hemphill Wiggins, 81, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Reverend Dale Saul will be officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Hall Summit, La. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the funeral home. Edna was born on September 18, 1934 to Oscar Alex and Rose Mae Hemphill in Rochelle, La. She passed away on January 11, 2016 in Shreveport, La. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 40 years, E. Lamar Wiggins, foster parents, William and Estelle Miles, brothers, James and Bobby Hemphill, sister, Fredna Hemphill Charrier, foster sisters, Vara Mannies, Cleo Wroten, Beryl Beebe, and foster brother, William J. Miles. She is survived by her daughter, Paula Silmon and husband Joey, step-daughters, Mary Jinnings, and Vickie Eiland, grandchildren, Matthew Eubanks and fiancé, April Carrington, Jennifer and Ryan Eubanks, Kristi Staton, John Jinnings and wife, Melissa, and Eugene Eiland and wife, Rebecca, great-grandchildren, Austin and Katherine Staton and Kene Eiland, sister, Ruby Hemphill, and niece, Glynn O'Bryan. Honoring Edna as pallbearers will be Joey Silmon, Matthew Eubanks, Kenneth Eubanks, Joe Butler, Jacob Butler, Ryan Eubanks, and George Eugene Eiland.
