SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Edna E. Willis, 77, will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Brother Joe Brown. Visitation will precede the funeral service at the funeral home Saturday from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2014 at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Edna was born on December 22, 1936 in Joaquin, TX and passed away on December 9, 2014. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Edna was a resident of Shreveport, LA and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, David B. Willis, Jr. and her parents, Edgar and Avis Lambert. Left to cherish her memory are sons, David R. "Randy" Willis and N.D. Willis "Chip" and wife, Donna; daughter, Delisa W. Mercer and husband, Monroe; siblings, Rushing Lambert and wife, Toni, Rodney Lambert and wife, Murlene, and LaRee Bounds and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Brent Willis, Shannon Willis, Jessica McClellan, Katy Cathey, Eric Mercer, and Kyle Mercer; 8 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
