Vivian, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Edward H. Ganz, Jr., age 86 will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA. Officiating the service will be Rev. Bill Treadway, pastor of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Vivian, LA. There will be a time of visitation on Wednesday, November 4th from 5-6:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Ganz was born in Shreveport, LA on February 1, 1929 to Edward Henry Ganz, Sr. and Lily Inez Anderson Ganz and passed away on November 2, 2015 at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Home after an extended illness. He was an Oilfield Pumper, member of the Pine Street Church of Christ and a veteran of the US Navy.
Mr. Ganz was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gordon Ganz. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Emma M. Ganz of Vivian, LA; son, William E. Ganz and wife, Tonya of Plano, TX; daughter, Kay Westbrook and husband, Phil of Denton, Tx. Mr. Ganz is also survived by his grandchildren, Robert and Nata Ganz, Lauren, Emily, Martha and Jakob Westbrook and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring Mr. Ganz as pallbearers will be Casey Byargeon, Cale Byargeon, Tommy Curry, Travis Curry, Jeff Curry and Brian Curry.
