Edward Bryant Johnson

Shreveport, La- A funeral service will be held for Edward Bryant Johnson, 82, at 11 a.m.Monday, June 8, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Reverend Denny Duron and Lay Minister Shelia Chandler. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the funeral home. Edward was born on November 2, 1932 to Bryant and Virgie Johnson in Chidester, Ark. He passed away on June 5, 2015 in Shreveport, La. He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, Jimmie and Thelma Tuberville, sister, Rogene Faye Diffee, and brother, Edgar Charles Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Emma Lee Tuberville Johnson, son, Dennis Edward Johnson, and wife Lisa; daughter, Shelia Dianne Johnson Chandler, and husband Travis; grandchildren, Heath Randall Wood, Brandy Suzanne Johnson, and spouse Garrett, and Katie Elizabeth Johnson; siblings, Roger Ray Johnson, and wife Coy, Donald Johnson, and wife Mary, and Dewey Johnson, and wife Betty. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Michael Johnson, Bryant Johnson, Edgar Johnson, Ronnie Herring, Steve Jackson, Patrick Hesterly. Honorary pallbearer will be Don Rigsby.
