Graveside services will be held for Edward Parker, age 79, of Ringgold, LA at Fellowship Cemetery in Dubberly, La. Services will be held Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Bro. Floyd Smith officiating assisted by Rev. Jeremy Scott. Visitation will be held prior to the services at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden from 12:00-1:30 pm. Edward "Ed" was born on September 27, 1934 in Duck Hill, Mississippi and passed from this earth on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Ringgold Nursing Rehab Center in Ringgold, LA. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. Mr. Parker served his country as a Green Beret defending his country in the Korean War. He was a market manager for A&P Tea Company before going into business for himself. He operated Parker Wrecker Service in Winona and Greenwood Mississippi for 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Cammie Parker, and sisters Loraine and Dean. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Carol Parker, daughters Anita Muir and husband Andy of Carrollton, MS, Janet Doler of Ringgold, LA and son, Louis Parker of Doyline, LA. Grandchildren, Kristy Doler Scott and husband Jeremy of Grand Prairie, TX, Suzanne Muir Wigley and husband Ryan of Florence, MS, Jodi Doler Kennedy and husband Shane of Many, LA, Justin Doler of Ringgold, LA, Sloan Cook, Haley Cook, and Payton Parker of Doyline, LA. Great-grandchildren, Trey and Logan Martin, Lillian and Melody Scott, Tinsley Doler and Olivia Wigley. Brothers, Eugene, Bud, Wayne, Sidney, and Ray. Sisters, Gladys, Inez, Sue, and Linnie and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Justin Doler, Jeremy Scott, Ryan Wigley, Shane Kennedy, Payton Parker, and Trey Martin.
