Frierson, LA - Graveside Services for Edward E. Trippe will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery, Kingston, LA. Officiating will be Reverend Scott Tatum. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Mansfield, LA on September 3, 2014 Wednesday from 9:30 till 10:30 AM. Ed was born July 7, 1931 and passed away August 31, 2014 at "the farm" in Frierson. Ed was preceded in death by his parents Mary Kathryn and George E. Trippe and his wife Barbara "Babs" Trippe. He is survived by his brother Len Trippe and wife Llewellyn of Black Mountain, NC and sister Kay Hawthorne and husband Bob of Baton Rouge, LA. Daughters Clare Frasier and husband Roy of Marysville, WA, Leslie Smelley and husband Kenny of Mansfield, LA and Barbara Trippe of Shreveport, LA. Grandchildren Malinda Partee and husband Colan, David Frasier, Christopher Smelley, Brandon Smith, Amber Smith. Great grandchildren MacKenzie and Hadley Partee and Grayson Frasier. He is also survived by his friend and companion of many years JoNelle Riggs of Shreveport, LA, her daughters Connie Herring and Debbie Blanc and their families. Those serving as honorary pallbearers will be A.B. "Bud" Swayze, G.B. "Sonny" Hall, III and Jimi Williams. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for the wonderful care and concern shown to Ed and his family; as well as the many prayers on our behalf.
