Edward Fritz "Sonny" Witteborg, Jr.
SHREVEPORT, LA- Funeral service celebrating the life of Edward Fritz "Sonny" Witteborg, Jr., 81, will be held 12 noon Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. Joe Brown of Liberty Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Sonny was born on June 19, 1933 in Wharton, TX and passed away on August 26, 2014. He was a resident of Shreveport and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was retired as an electrical salesman. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Witteborg, Sr. and Norma Owens Witteborg; sister, Derrell Sorrell. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Jo Ann Witteborg; special brother, Boyd Chipman; brother-in-law, George Sorrell.
Honoring Sonny as pallbearers will be Dr. Tommy Brown, John Mathews, George Sorrell, Boyd Chipman, A.B. Swayze and Thomas Butler. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews.
