Elaine Butler

Graveside services for Elaine Harper Butler, 85, were held at Forest Park West Cemetery on March 27, 2020. Services were under the direction of the Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr, Shreveport, LA. Elaine was born September 30, 1934 in Jonesboro, LA, the daughter of Dewey F. and Effie Maxwell Harper. She passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 in Bossier City, LA. Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Lenoye Harper and her precious husband of 55 years, James O Butler, Jr, who waits at Heaven's gate to welcome her to their final home where they will be apart no more. What a great reunion!! She leaves behind her son, James Lane Butler and wife Rhonda and her precious grandchildren, Tara & Garett, whom she loved dearly, one sister Glendell Tilton, who was so faithful to stay with her during her illness. Elaine is also survived by her sister-in-law, Naomi Harper, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. The Butler family wants to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the River View Care Center for the amazing care they gave to Elaine.
