SHREVEPORT, LA - On Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. we will gather at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Shreveport, LA to celebrate the grace-filled life of Elaine Romell Demopulos prioritized by faith and family. Officiating will be Father John Krokos. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Shreveport, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with Trisagion to follow at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2016 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA.

Elaine was born in Ossining, New York April 3, 1922 and entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ July 27, 2016 in Shreveport, LA. She lived a rich life of 94 years. Elaine characterized patience, kindness, gentleness, love, and joy. To those who knew her and loved her she was a lady with impeccable taste.

Preceding Elaine in death is her husband Constantine John (Gus) Demopulos. Leaving to cherish her memory is her son, John C. Demopulos of Baton Rouge, LA; daughters, Diane DePrang and husband, Bennie of Shreveport, LA, and Harriet Austin and husband, Dennis of Shreveport, LA; brother, Michael G. Romell and wife, Artemis of S. Amherst, MA; grandchildren, Jamin DePrang, Peter DePrang, Christina Powell, Aaron Austin, Greg Austin, Rachael Giamanco, Angela Demopulos, Elizabeth Demopulos, and Sarah Demopulos; and nine great-grandchildren.

Honoring Elaine as pallbearers will be grandsons, Aaron Austin, Greg Austin, Jamin DePrang, Peter DePrang, Trey Powell, and godson, Ted Casten.

The family suggests memorials be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1719 Creswell Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71101, or Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.
