Eldridge Tombleson, Jr.

Funeral services honoring the life of Eldridge Tombleson, Jr. will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 16, 2022 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Dr. Brian D. Prucey with Brother Kert Zortman of Elm Grove Baptist Church, assisting. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the service in Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana.

Eldridge Tombleson, Jr. was born June 22, 1930 in Glassboro, New Jersey to Eldridge and Freda Tombleson and passed away peacefully, Friday, December 9, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Eldridge served honorably in the United States Airforce. He volunteered much of his time for the organization World Changers, where he helped renovate houses of those in need and even helped build churches. He always went above and beyond to help those in his community.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 49 years, Ethel Tombleson; sister, Emily Ford; daughter, Anita Tombleson; and grandson, Tommy Tombleson

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 19 years, Betty Durland; sons, Thomas Tombleson and wife, Carole, Sherwin Tombleson and wife, Dawn, and Joseph Tombleson; six grandchildren; eight great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
