Funeral services for Elenora Asher Lee will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Leland Crawford and Rev. Bill Crider officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
Elenora P. Asher Lee was born in Checota OK at home on June 5, 1926, to Elmer and Gladys Edwards Asher. She was married to Grady Lee Sr on November 14, 1944, In Muskogee Ok.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Grady Lee, Sr. her son, Grady Lee Jr., brothers-in-law Harvey Lee, Joe Lee, and Jack Cage and sister-in-law Genice Cage, and son-in-law Stephen Ponder; her parents, Elmer and Gladys Asher; brother Clyde Asher (Billie) sisters, Pearl (Dean Rodgers) and Faye Asher Ausbrooks.
She is survived by sisters-in-law Josephine Lee and Nell Lee, brothers-in-law Vernon Ausbrooks and Robert Lee and Al, daughters Sharon Asher Russell (Chuck), Gale Straley (Harry), Teri Ponder (Rob) and daughter-in-law Jhan Lee, and numerous grandchildren, great and great great- grandchildren.
The family would like to thank her wonderful sitters who took such good care of her, Virginia Blaylock, Barbara Boswell, Brenda Anders, Lisa Browning and Judy Kirkham. Also, the loving nurses, aides, and therapists at Old Brownlee Community Care Center; St. Joseph's Hospice and The Carpenters House; the nursing staff on the third floor of Willis Knighton-Bossier and certainly Dr. Rodswan and Dr. San Pedro for your loving care of our Mother in her last days. We are eternally grateful! May God bless each of you!
