SHREVEPORT, LA - A Graveside service for Elida H. Morris, 82, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Rose-Neath Cemetery, Bossier City. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Martina. A reception will follow at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Shreveport.
Elida was born April 21, 1935 in La Concepcion, Panama and passed away on November 2, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a sweet friend to all who knew her and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James M. and Elida C. Harris; brothers, Juan S. Cervantes and Fernando Taylor. Elida is survived by her sister, Erlinda MacKinnon and husband Lloyd; daughter, Elizabeth Beattie; sons, James Michael King, Thomas Anthony Morris and wife Calin; grandchildren, Stephanie Elkins, Rebecca Creel, Alexis Petrik, Zachary King, Taylor Fanguy, Tyler Morris and Taran Morris; fourteen great-grandchildren; nephew, David Akin; niece, Pamela Giddings and great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the entire staff of Garden Park Nursing Home and to her sitter Donna Kelly for their excellent care, compassion, and kindness to the family.
