Elizabeth "Ann" Campbell of Keithville, Louisiana passed away on October 12, 2023 at the age of 79.
She was born on December 9, 1943, in Beedeville, Arkansas to Ernie and Birdie Gilpin.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Ann was a kind and compassionate person who loved family and life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Ann was a graduate of Beedeville High School. She worked up to management at the Horseshoe Casino for many years.
In her free time, Ann enjoyed baking cakes and spending time with her many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She was a talented baker and a skilled decorator, even winning cake decorating awards.
In her later years, she enjoyed researching the family ancestry. Ann successfully traced the family history into the early 1800s, and even found success identifying some family members dating back to the 1600s. Through her extensive research, she was able to connect with family she didn't know she had, even attending several extended family reunions in her home state of Arkansas
Elizabeth Ann Campbell is survived by her son William "Billy" Campbell and spouse, Tonia, of Shreveport, Louisiana; daughters, Aimee Park and spouse, James, of Nashville, Tennessee, Marie Woodel and spouse, Chris (Woody), of Natchitoches, Louisiana, and Debra Ayers of Keithville, Louisiana. Ann is also survived by her 11 grandchildren; Michelle, Rory Jr., Leona, Racheal, Seth, Christiana, Coty, Dylan, Layla, Lucas, and Autumn; 9 great-grandchildren, Landon, Lexi, Cayden, Colton Jr, Kyleigh, Miles, lensen, Lorelai, and Kasey.
Ann will be greatly missed and cherished by all whom she touched. May she rest peacefully alongside her late husband of 42 years, Eldred Ray Campbell. The visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Funeral service will follow on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. followed by burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery located at 307 Hammond St., Zwolle, Louisiana. Honoring Ann as pallbearers will be Seth Woodel, Dulan Campbell, Coty Lewis, Brad Sandifer, Colton Davis, Rory "Bubba" LaBorde, and James Park. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Mac Watts, Chris "Woody" Woodel, Landon Sandifer and Thomas Pollard.
