A memorial service for Elizabeth Baxter, 69, will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Officiating the service will be Bishop Robert L. Goletz.
Elizabeth was born to Johnny and Eunice Harris on February 27, 1955. She was the sixth child to be born of eight children. Elizabeth gave her life to Christ at an early age. She attended Coleman High School and later traveled to places such as England, Italy, and many other countries and destinations.
Elizabeth presided in New York for many years. She returned home to live in Minden, Louisiana and joined the Church of Latter-Day Saints, where she attended and loved until she was called home.
Elizabeth was the joy of her family; she was always happy and would always bring happiness to whomever she met. She, indeed, was the only one who would keep the family smiling and laughing. Elizabeth had a heart of gold, always trying to give you something, even if it was something she needed; she was just a giver, and full of generosity.
Elizabeth loved the Lord with all her heart and would demonstrate the love of God in all she said and did. She would often say, “I would rather see a good sermon any day rather than hear one.”
Preceding her in death is her father, Johnny Harris; mother, Eunice Harris; brothers, Robert B. Harris and Albert Harris; sister, Della M. Logan and husband, Harris. Left to cherish her memory are her one and only child, her son, Mark Baxter, and wife, Brittney of Minden, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Toran, Tristan, Aran, Amora, and Abella; three sisters, Idell Block of Bossier City, Louisiana, Burnell Harris of Gibsland, Louisiana, and Ellen Smith and husband, Alan of Haughton, Louisiana; brother, John E. Harris of Shreveport, Louisiana along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Farewell from us to you, i.e., son, sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends, until we meet again. We will truly miss you, but we will hold on to the memories we shared together while you were here with us and remember all the smiles, laughter, joy, and love we shared.
John 5:24
Verily, verily I say unto you, he who heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but it is passed from death unto life.
