Liz was born on September 20, 1946 in Manila, Philippines to her parents Mr. and Mrs. Fred Threatt. She married her husband Jimmy Frye on July 28, 1968 and from there they began their family. Liz was spunky and full of life. She poured into those that she loved by using her many talents, such as sewing and cooking, as well as continually showing up for them. She enjoyed sewing and created beautiful wedding dresses and various other items of clothing. She cooked traditional Filipino dishes and southern staples that will never be replicated and will be forever missed. She spent much of her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were her world and brought her immense amounts of joy. Liz loved to watch football, especially the New Orleans Saints. She also enjoyed playing BINGO, reading, and spending time with her husband, Jimmy, at the racetrack and casino. She was a lover of animals, especially her pets whom she cooked for and adored, and the pets of her daughter’s and grandchildren. She was a selfless person who sought to provide aid and support to those in need and was not afraid to take charge. Liz was loved and adored by many and she will be greatly missed.
Liz is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Benjamin Threatt; and stepmother, Connie Threatt. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jimmy Frye; daughters, Lorilynn Prohaska and husband, Sonny, Lisa Ruple and husband, Jonathon; grandchildren, Michael Cannon and wife Christina, Cody Cannon and wife, Sarah, Jacob Cannon and fiancé, Shannen, Joshua Prohaska, and Lindsay Prohaska; and great-grandchildren, Addalynn, Brentleigh, Baylee, Paisley, Kyler, and Aubree.
