SHREVEPORT, LA - A Graveside Service for Elizabeth May, 50, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2018, at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave., Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Jon Hall. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA.
Beth was born December 12, 1967, in Shreveport, LA to Amy Ann Matthews Hall and Jon Harris Hall and passed away December 10, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. She was a loving mom and grandmamama. Beth loved all her family and they were the main focus of her life. We enjoyed her sense of humor and her caring nature. Her love of life was contagious and her laugh was often heard and well enjoyed by all. She is forever with us and we with her. She enjoyed drawing and pastels. Everything Beth did she put her whole heart into. She had a Business Degree from the America School of Business. Beth had worked for Dr. Seale with Broadmoor Animal Hospital and owned a cleaning service.
Preceding Beth in death were her grandparents, Rev. James W. Matthews, Annie Ruth Brown Matthews and Neva Louise Turney. Left to cherish her memory is her parents, Amy Matthews Hall and Jon Harris Hall of Shreveport, LA; sons, Kristopher Shea Hall and wife Cassie Guess Hall of Shreveport, LA and Cameron and Mallory May of Shreveport, LA; daughter, Shelby Fields Moncla-Hall of Shreveport, LA; brother, Rev. Jon W. Hall and his daughter Abby Clare Hall of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Reid, Parker and Cooper Hall and Lexee May; aunts and uncles, Lynda and James A. Matthews and Dr. Robert W. Matthews; cousins, Cary and Matthew Blake, David and Mikaela Matthews and their children, Brenden, Ella and Lilly Matthews and Lynn and Wesley Brown; previous husband, Scott May; Shelby's father, Ben Moncla and extended family, grandmother, Allison Moncla, aunt, Shari Moncla and the Moncla family; Beth's friends, Rhonda Berry, Dr. Andrew Simpson and wife Kathryn; and numerous relatives and friends.
