Ella LaNell Colgin

Funeral services for Ella LaNell Colgin, 78, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 5, 2018 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel with Pastor Keith Tarkington officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Garden in Oil City, LA. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the funeral home. LaNell was born November 3, 1939 in Texarkana, TX to Joseph and Evie Henry and passed away on February 1, 2018 in Bossier City, LA. She was a breast cancer survivor. She loved reading and her Sunday school class, but her greatest joy was spending times with her family, especially her nieces and grandchildren. LaNell was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Boyce Henry. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Hugh Colgin, Sr.; sons, Jason Colgin and wife Katie, Hugh Donald Colgin, Jr., and Charles Lee Colgin; grandchildren, Ashley Murdock, Kelley Colgin, Emily Colgin, Mitchell Colgin, Dylan Colgin, and Peyton Colgin; and brother, William Jennings Henry and wife Vivian. Pallbearers will be James Brian Green (BJ), Bill Staley, Hank Staley, and Noah Staley. And the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are within your gates, may come and eat and be satisfied, that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.
