A graveside service for Ella Mulkey Jeter, 86, will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave. in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Bill Lott.
Ella was born on December 26, 1934 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Floyd and Mildred Mulkey and passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Ella had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing in the choir at First Baptist Church of Bossier. She was on the bowling league for many years. The ABSOLUTE happiest years of her life were with John Jeter, Sr., the love of her life. And she was the love of his life, too! Upon his passing, Ella spent most of her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she adored.
Ella is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Jeter, Sr. and daughter, Charlotte Ann. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Christian and Vicki Magee and husband, Mark; son, John R. Jeter, Jr. and wife, Leslie; grandchildren, Arien Gott and wife, Megan, Brittney Gott, Sterling Magee, Jessica Christian, Matthew Jeter and wife, Nikki and Tim Jeter and wife, Mahayur and great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Dylan, Trent, Addison, Ayden, Gabby, Harper, Abri, Eli, Millie, Landry and Parker.
The family would like to express special thanks to the nurses and staff at Willis-Knighton Bossier for their care and compassion shown to Ella, especially Corina and Luis and to Pastor Dean of The Pentecostals of Bossier City and Brother Shane Nugent of Cross Point Baptist Church for their prayers and support.
