SHREVEPORT, LA:Eloise Celeste Green Adams, formerly of Haynesville, LA, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. She was the widower of Watson John Adams. They were married for 44 years before his death. Born in Bernice, LA, she was the daughter of Allen Joseph and Susie Alice Puckett Green. She attended and graduated from Summerfield High School. Mr. and Mrs. Adams owned Adams Grocery outside of Haynesville for 30-plus years. She was a long standing member of Haynesville Methodist Church. Mrs. Adams loved caring for her family and her morning cup of coffee. Her love of others was often displayed by a quick smile and quiet chuckle.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters, Crystal Reagan, Ruby Carter, and Dolora Mae Rea; and three brothers, Douglas Green, Carl Green, and Melvin Green.She is survived by her sons, Fred Adams and wife Glynn Nell of Mena, AR, Thomas Adams of Many, LA, and James Adams and wife Huyen of Plano, TX; daughter, Deborah Adams Brewer of Chapel Hill, NC; grandchildren, Kim Rhoades of Atlanta, GA, Jeff Adams of Richland, MO, Clayton Adams of Atlanta, GA, Cecily Gaffney and husband Pat of Philadelphia, PA, Spencer Adams of Tyler, TX, Kyle Brewer and wife Heidi of Houston, TX, and Kacie Brewer of Cary, NC; two great-grandsons, Ken Rhoades of Ladson, SC, and Josh Dennis and wife Casey of Marion, OH; along with many nieces and nephews. Nieces, Nelda Harris and Shera Rea Peterson of Shreveport have been most loving in their support.Funeral services will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel of Homer, LA, on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 1:00 P.M with Rev. Rodney Gray of Haynesville, LA, and Rev. Glynn Nell Adams, officiating. Interment will be at Weldon Cemetery near Bernice, LA. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from noon-1 P.M., prior to the service.Memorial donations may be made to charity of choice.
