Dubberly, LA Funeral services for Elsie Brunson Butler will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Frank DeLoach officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Cemetery in Dubberly, Louisiana. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 noon until service time at Rose-Neath. Elsie was born June 22, 1933 in Heflin, Louisiana and entered into rest January 21, 2018 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Butler, parents, Tom and Georgia Brunson, infant brother, Walter Lois Brunson, sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Billy Russell, and brothers-in-law, Noel Howard Butler, Hershell Butler, Herman Butler, and Dr. Jack Coussons. She is survived by her son Joe (Joey) Brunson Butler of Benton, daughter, Jan Butler Riser and husband Ted of Sibley, sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Jack Harrison of Hall Summit, sister-in-law Mabel Coussons of Bossier, grandson Larkin Riser of Bossier, Heather Medaries, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Chateau at Montclair for the love and compassion shown to our mother.
