Elva Marie Boudeau

Minden, LA Mrs. Elva Marie Reed Boudeau, 85, of Minden, LA entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Meadowview Health and Rehab. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 20^th at 10:00 AM at Gardens of Memory, 1527 Lewisville Rd., Minden, LA. Brother James Gstohl with Amedisys Hospice will officiate the service. Predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Charles Ray Boudeau in 2008 in Minden, LA, her parents, James and Chellie Antoinette Richardson Reed and her six older siblings: William Reed, Myrtle Reed, Eileen Reed Moore, James Reed, Peggy Reed Dean and Cathy Reed McInnis. Elva leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted son, Thomas Nicholas Boudeau and wife Vicki Powers Boudeau and her precious granddaughter Nicole Rose Boudeau of Augusta, GA. She leaves her grandson, Stewart Morrison and his family of McDonough, GA. She leaves her younger brother Teddy Dees Reed of Hattiesburg, MS. For the biggest part of her life, Elva was a nurse. She loved her profession and was an outstanding private duty nurse for many years. She also loved being a Mother. Her son, Thomas was her pride and joy. Being a Grandma was also very special privilege to Elva. She had a soft spot for both Stewart and Nicole. She was extremely generous, even to strangers and enjoyed taking care of people in need. We would like to sincerely thank the staff at Meadowview Health and Rehab, Vickie Rech and Amedisys Hospice Care for the outstanding care they have provided over the past several years. It's obvious they really loved Elva and she loved them. The Boudeau family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time.
