Funeral services for Emily Kae Mitchell, 47, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 2, 2023 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A private burial will be held at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be her husband, Brandon Mitchell.

Emily was born on August 25, 1975 in Corsicana, Texas to Charles and Cathy Statham and passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Emily graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a masters of Psychology. She was an entrepreneur, real estate investor, leader and mentor and strong in her Christian faith. She enjoyed traveling to places like Italy, Spain, France, Ireland and especially London and had quite an impressive Pyrex collection. Above all, she was a loving mother, devoted wife and faithful friend.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, W.L. Statham and mother, Cathy Statham. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 27 years, Brandon Mitchell; son, Eli Mitchell; grandmother, Mary “Nanny” Statham; father, Charles Statham; brother, Cody Statham and wife, Stephanie; nieces, Landrie and Leah; mother-in-law, Neta Monroe and husband, Rob; father-in-law, Glynn Mitchell; brother-in-law, Josh Mitchell and wife, Jenny and sister-in-law, Maddie Mitchell.
