Coushatta, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Emmett Lee Houston, 87, will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield with Father Matthew Long officiating. Burial will follow in Carmel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 5:00 until 9:00 PM. Emmett was born in Mansfield to Julius and Ida Houston. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mansfield. Preceding Emmett in death were his parents Julius and Ida Houston; sisters Ethel Moreno, Palma Procell, Grace Gathright, and Mattie Taylor; brothers Ben Houston, Cisco Houston, and John Houston. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Judy Houston; son Gary Houston and wife Shirley; brother Roy Houston; nephew Larry Procell and wife Sammie; great Niece Melissa Walker and husband Steven; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and family. Honoring the life of Emmett as Pallbearers will be Steven Walker, Stephen Jones, Thomas Taylor, Albert Houston, Wayne Moreno, and Joe Bailey.
