Era Lane Dison Tilley

SHREVEPORT, LA - A private Graveside service for Era Lane Dison Tilley 82, will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Forest Park West Cemetery. Chaplin Donald L. Tucker will be officiating. Era Lane passed away peacefully on July 13, 2016 with her family by her side at her home in Shreveport. She was born in Saline, LA on August 16, 1933. She married Frank "Rudy" Rudolph Tilley in 1953, and they resided at their beloved El Rancho home the rest of their lives. Era Lane was a homemaker who loved her home, gardening, reading, friends and her family most of all. She is preceded in death by her parents Charlie Cornelios Dison and Berta Harper Dison, husband of 58 years, Rudy and two daughters Janna Kay and Sheri Renee Tilley, brother Charlie Cornelios Dison, Jr.; sister Doris Parrott. She leaves behind two sons, Mark Allen Tilley and Greg Tilley and his wife Kellie; grandchildren Jacob Tilley, Jenna Tilley, Taylor Whitaker and Amanda Smothers and husband Tony; three great-grandchildren Cullen Smothers, Ethan Greenburg and Ellianna Greenburg; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would like to thank her special friend Leona "Joansie" Jones for the love and laughs she shared with Era Lane during her illness and her granddaughter Jenna for helping care for her during her last days. We as a family could not have made it through this tough time without them. Also the nurses with St. Johns Hospice. They tended to her with love and compassion. They are truly angels.
