Era Faye Gault

Era Faye Gault (Aunt Biggy) Aunt Biggy, as she was known to all, was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on February 24, 1923 to Fred and Mary Myers Gault. She was a caring, hardworking person who served her family all her life. She lived an active, productive life right up until she was called home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 29, 2016. Visitation will be Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 5:00p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Funeral Services will be Monday, August 1, 2016 at noon officiated by Pastor Sam Carr of Word of Life Center, where Aunt Biggy attended services for the past 15 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; Fred and Mary Gault, sisters and brother-in-laws Vera Trant (Ben Trant, Jr.) and Betty Townsend (Joe Townsend, Sr.); brother and sister-in-law Fred H. Gault (Louise Miller Gault); niece Marla Townsend; and nephew Tim Townsend. Although, Aunt Biggy never married she had a large extended family that she loved and cherished. She is survived by nieces, nephews, and their spouses that loved and treasured her, Joe Townsend (Grace) of Marshall, TX, Fred H. Gault, Jr. (Margie) of Shreveport, LA, Linda Trant Johnson (Ken) of Marietta, SC, Melody Townsend Bassett of Waskom, Texas, Jeff Gault (Sheri) of Shreveport, LA, Gary Gault of Panama City Beach, FL, Betty Rayburn Townsend of Shreveport, LA, Ben Edward Trant of Shreveport, LA., her great nieces and nephews, Kristi Tolman (Adam), April Spears (Jeremy) April Anderson, Cade Gault, Joseph Bassett (Chrystal), Matthew Gault, Caitlin Calloway (Kris), Caroline Hand (Kyle), Jennifer Gault, Sarah Vazquez (Hector), Timothy Townsend, John Gault, Joshua Townsend (Shelby), and Jayden Townsend and her most beloved great-great nieces and nephews Talyn Anderson, Julie Vazquez, Calissa Vazquez, Steven Anderson, Adrian Vazquez, Jacob Tolman, Tanner Tolman, Aaron Spears, Andrew Spears, Ayva Townsend, Isaac Spears, and Samson Bassett. Others special to her include Louanna Townsend, Rhonda Phylaw Boco, Michael Bassett, Sandi Gault, Sylvia Frantom, Sally Johnston, Vikki Tucker, and many more relatives and friends. Honoring Aunt Biggy as pallbearers will be her nephews Joe, Fred, Jeff, Gary, Ben, and great nephew Joseph Bassett. Honorary pallbearers will be great nephews Cade Gault, Matthew Gault, Timothy Townsend, John Gault, Joshua Townsend, and Jayden Townsend. Other additional honorary pallbearers will be another generation she was loved and treasured by her great-great nephews Steven Anderson, Adrian Vazquez, Jacob Tolman, Tanner Tolman, Aaron Spears, Andrew Spears, Isaac Spears and Samson Bassett. For over 50 years she was a bookkeeper in the office supply businesses, retiring from Ferris Office Supplies. Not one to be idle she embarked on a second career of keeping children. She worked at Ford Park Baptist Church Daycare for 8 years and then continued loving and taking care of great, great nephews in Marshall, Texas.
