Eric Delrie

Funeral services for Eric Delrie, 65, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Stonewall, LA with Father Jim Moran officiating. Interment will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with a Vigil following after. Eric was born July 30, 1952 in Natchitoches, LA and went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. He graduated from Stonewall High School in 1971. He was the owner of Eric's 171 Muffler Shop in Keithville, LA. Eric honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was the Naval Champion Boxer of the Mediterranean Sea. Eric was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred Delrie; sister, Regina Delrie Taylor; and brother-in-law, Fred Haywood. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Amanda Nicole Saxby (Caleb); grandchildren, Ashley Giles, Natalie Saxby, and Sarah Saxby; sisters, Sandra Haywood and Sheila Carwile (Doyle); and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Honoring Eric as pallbearers will be Doug Haywood, Justin Carwile, Tracy Sirman, Mike Hudson, Frank Leone, Bob Webb, Caleb Saxby, and Travis Murray. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Delrie and Lloyd D. Cooley. Memorials may be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church.
