Eric Sloan Folmer

Eric Sloan Folmer was born June 3, 1969 in New York City and died March 8, 2017 from cardiopulmonary arrest. Sloan, known for his exceptional talent as an actor won numerous awards for his portrayals on local stages. If he wasn\'t on stage, he was probably running a light board somewhere. He graduated from Captain Shreve High School where he was active in the drama program. He attended Centenary College, LA Tech, and BPPC studying Theatre and Communications. He was currently employed as an administrative assistant at Gilley and Gilley Law Firm. If you ever met Sloan, you\'d never forget him or his unique sense of humor. He was a loyal friend and had a warm, generous heart. A big sports fan, he was an avid supporter of the Chicago Bears - first place or last. Sloan was preceded in death by his grandparents: Louis and Betty Folmer, Iralene W. Peavy, and Printice and Lois Darnell, uncles and aunts: Robert Ira Westbrook, MD and wife, Gloria; Max Westbrook and wife Lucille; Gloria Whetstone and husband Rudy, and Carol Folmer. He is survived by his parents Richard and Ginger Folmer, uncle John Folmer, aunts, Lynette Pace and husband Randy, and Niecy Bass. Cousins: M. Ricci Whetstone, MD and wife Teri, S. Branton Whetstone, Donnie Westbrook, Kathy Bayne and husband Bill; Mary Nell, Robert and Michael Westbrook, Todd Folmer, Tiffany Lawrence and husband Dewey, John and Mona Pace, Dawn Gonazalez and husband Anthony, and Kriste Bass; former wife, Reagan Lincoln and her parents, Marcia and Gene Cassanova.
