Funeral services for Eric H. Hammett, Sr. will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 11 a.mm. at First United Pentecostal Church in Cotton Valley with Rev. Kenneth DeHart officiating. Interment will follow at Cotton Valley Cemetery in Cotton Valley under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Eric was born November 13, 1945 in Glasgow, Scotland and entered into rest November 14, 2016 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

He is survived by his wife Nelwyn Hammett of Cotton Valley, father Jacob Hammett, son Eric Hammett, Jr. of Cotton Valley, daughters Jean Ann Bryan and husband Nathan of Sibley, Deborah Hammett of Cotton Valley, sister Heather Garlington and husband Warren of Sibley, brother Charles Hammett and wife Bonnie of Sibley, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
