Ernest W. Matthews

Gilliam, LA - Services celebrating the life of Ernest W. Matthews, age 75 will be held at 2:00 P. M. Friday, November 6, 2015. The family has requested for all to meet at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA to honor Ernest in a final procession to the Vivian Cemetery with Rev. Bill Green officiating. There will be time of visitation on Thursday, November 5^th from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Ernest was born in McCrory, AR on May 10, 1940 to Morris "Buster" William and Opal Irene Richmond Matthews and passed away on November 3, 2015 at Willis-Knighton North after a brief illness. He was retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service and was a retired Postmaster with the U.S. Postal service with 26 years of service. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Fred Matthews. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Sisemore of Oklahoma; daughters, Kimberly Carinio and husband, James Carinio, Jr. of Keithville, LA and Vickie Matthews of Mobile AL; brother, Jerry Matthews of Vivian, LA. Ernest is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
