RODESSA, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Estelle Lowe, age 90 will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Vivian, LA with Dr. Barry Carter, pastor of Walnut Hill Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethsaida Cemetery, Ida, LA. There will be a time of visitation on Wednesday, December 31st from 12 Noon until service time.
Mrs. Lowe was born on November 8, 1924 in Fouke, AR to her parents, Jewel and Beatrice Vickers Scott and passed away on December 28, 2014 at The Bradford after a lengthy illness. She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.
Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wilson Lowe, sister, Maedell Oxley, brother, J. B. Scott, two grandsons, David Keith DeSoto and Duke Anthony Barnett. She is survived by three daughters, Doris June Head of Atlanta, TX, Dora Jane DeSoto and husband, Donald of Shreveport, LA and Janice Lee Rhoads and husband, Rodger of Conway, AR. Mrs. Lowe is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Honoring Mrs. Lowe, as pallbearers will be Will Head, Ray DeSoto, Gregg Barnett, Matt Barnett, Jerry Adams and Ricky Adams.
The family would like to extend their special thanks to The Bradford staff, hospice, aids and caregivers for their love and care to our precious Mother.
