Eudean Diamond Houston The world as we know it lost another good citizen today, and God gained another good servant as Eudean Diamond Houston exchanged her earthly home for Heaven. Eudean Diamond Houston departed this life just after 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at Cornerstone Rehab Hospital, following a short illness. Family visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday evening, September 11, 2015, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. Pastoral service will be conducted, under the direction of The Reverend Doctor Dana Casey, former pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church (PCA), at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. Dee\'s husband, Pat, was transferred to Barksdale AFB, Louisiana, from Germany in late 1964. They bought a home in Shreveport, planning to make this their permanent home. Dee accompanied Pat into Free-Masonry. For several years, she was very active in all the El Karubah Legion of Honor activities and also joined the Shrine Ladies \"Daughters of the Nile.\" She was also active in the \"Women of the Church\" ladies group of Grace Presbyterian Church for many years prior to its dissolution. Eudean Diamond Houston was born the youngest of ten children of Nellie Blackett Diamond and James Willis Diamond, of Springville, Utah, on October 21, 1927. Her father, mother, and all siblings preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 55 -years, Patson C. (Pat) Houston, daughter, Barbara (Mrs. Charles L.) Zube, daughter, Linda (Mrs. Tommy) Trahan, and her son, Michael James Houston, and his wife, Missy; six grandchildren, nine great-grand-children, and two great-great grandchildren. Dee began her education in Springville, Utah, then continued that education in Provo, Utah, after the family moved to Provo in 1932. She and Pat met in 1959 at Edwards AFB, California, and were married in Mojave, California in May 1960. Pat was transferred to Rhein-Main Air Base, Germany, in December 1960; Dee and the children accompanied him to Germany, where they lived for four years. From Germany, Pat was assigned to the 2^nd Communications Group at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana. Following Pat\'s retirement from the Air Force, they both became associated with Grace Presbyterian Church (PCA). Dee again got active: first, in \"The Women of the Church, a group of ladies in the church who literally took care of the church and the congregation. There was never a lack of tasks to be done, and never enough people to do all those tasks! She served her church in various capacities for about fifteen years.
